Paleovalley Grass-fed Beef Sticks Review (All 5 Flavors)

Paleovalley is one of the very few brands that offers 100% grass-fed beef sticks that are free of artificial ingredients, refined sugar, industrial seed oils, etc. Their clean ingredients and sourcing from regenerative farms in the USA was what led me to try their products. They're now one of my top favorite snacks.

Disclaimer: I am an affiliate with Paleovalley, so I may receive a small commission if you purchase through one of my links. That being said, I'm sharing my honest experience with using their products and wouldn't be working with them if I didn't love them myself!

Here you'll find everything you need to know about Paleovalley beef sticks—including taste and texture, sourcing info, nutrition facts, ingredients, and pricing.

What do Paleovalley beef sticks taste like?

Paleovalley beef sticks are savory, juicy, and flavorful! The texture isn't dry like many other beef sticks competitors. My husband and I have tried just about every other brand of beef sticks (with clean ingredients) and we both agree that Paleovalley is by far the best we've had yet. We love all of the flavors, but here's a more detailed review of each of them.

The jalapeño flavor has a subtle kick to it, which I really enjoy. I would classify it as about a 3-4 on a spicy scale of 1-10, so nothing that will knock your socks off. It's my favorite flavor (and my husbands too). The spices combined with the beef make for the perfect snack!

The teriyaki flavor has a hint of sweetness to it, from the small amount of raw honey in it. This is a great option if you're craving something sweet. It only has 2g of carbs in one stick and it doesn't contain soy, unlike most teriyaki products. It tastes very similar to classic teriyaki, but more mild.

The garlic summer sausage and summer sausage flavors both taste very similar. They have a really nice garlic and herb flavor to compliment the juicy beef (the garlic flavor is just a bit stronger in the garlic summer sausage).

The original flavor definitely highlights the "beefy" flavor more, as the spices are more mild. If you're looking for something simple and delicious, the original is a great choice.

I'd definitely recommend trying all the flavors to see what you like the best! They're all great, so you can't go wrong. Everyone will be a bit different in which flavors they prefer.

Where does Paleovalley source their beef and ingredients?

Paleovalley sources all of their beef from regenerative farms in the USA. The beef is 100% grass-fed, and from family farms. Here's an excerpt from their website:

"Our 100% grass fed and finished beef is raised in the U.S.A. by family farmers focused on using rotational grazing practices and creating lush, green pastures free of chemicals and pesticides. They are never fed grains or given antibiotics!"

All of the spices used are organic.

How are Paleovalley beef sticks "naturally fermented"?

Here's an excerpt from their website explaining the fermentation process:

"This is what truly sets our beef sticks apart. We use old world methods of fermenting our sticks so they are shelf stable without the use of chemicals or questionable ingredients. Virtually all other similar snack stick products use GMO corn-based citric acid encapsulated in hydrogenated oils to process their products. Thanks to this fermentation process, each stick contains gut-friendly probiotics!"

What are the ingredients in Paleovalley beef sticks?

Here's a breakdown of the ingredients in each type of Paleovalley beef stick. I love how clean and simple the ingredients are! The only flavor that contains added carbs/sweeteners is the teriyaki flavor, which has a small amount of raw honey. The beef sticks naturally fermented, which can help with gut-health and digestion.

What diets would Paleovalley beef sticks fit in with?

Paleovalley beef sticks are a great snack for those on a paleo diet, whole 30 diet, animal-based diet, keto diet, low-carb diet, gluten free diet, etc. Because they contain spices, those on a strict carnivore diet may choose not to have them (I used to be strict carnivore, but am not anymore).

How expensive are Paleovalley beef sticks?

Paleovalley beef sticks are actually less expensive than most beef sticks you find at the grocery store. In my opinion, they taste much better than competitors such as Chomps or Archer, and have better quality ingredients and sourcing. When purchasing beef sticks from Amazon or a store such as Whole Foods, you're likely to pay around $2-$2.50 per beef stick.

With this link, you can save 50% off Paleovalley beef sticks—which will make it about $1.25 per beef stick (much cheaper than amazon or the grocery store). In order to get the 50% off discount, you have to buy at least 40 sticks.

If you're looking to make a smaller order of Paleovalley beef sticks to ensure you like them, you can use this link for 80% off a smaller order (of 10 beef sticks), making it $13 for 10 beef sticks after shipping ($4.99 + $7.95 shipping). For larger orders, the 50% off link will be a savings.

Of course, having snacks isn't something that's necessary for our health. Ideally, we should be getting most of our nutrition from home-cooked meals. But having snacks with nourishing, clean ingredients like Paleovalley beef sticks can really come in handy when traveling or on-the-go. I'd definitely recommend giving them a try!
